Balanced Mom Nutrition was founded out of a deep love for the human relationship with food and one registered dietician’s own journey with food and body acceptance. Karleigh came to me with a vision for her brand that she was stressing out over trying to make a reality on her own through Canva. We started with a brand strategy that helped her to clarify her messaging and goals, then cleaned up the brand’s visuals with a modern and elegant logo. The logo is comprised of an elegant, yet modern serif font that is paired with a clean, more angular, and modern sans serif font. Circular elements were brought into the secondary logo and some of the marks to mirror the cycles that we go through in life and with our health. 

I created a tagline that was both a declaration of Karleigh’s deep-held belief that everyone shouldn’t feel captive by what they can or cannot eat and supportive of her client’s goals. This was paired with a fun pattern built with food illustrations to lighten the seriousness of the brand’s topics. Since Karleigh’s target audience is women, specifically moms, we paired everything with a sophisticated color palette with contrasting pops of color. 

Updates were made to her WordPress website to reflect the new branding and a suite of social media templates was made for her so she could confidently manage her own social media posts going forward without having to call me to custom design each one or get overwhelmed by trying to do it all herself.

We are currently working on a presentation and workbook design for her new group program. All of these items have created a balance where she can hand off the items she feels overwhelmed by but also has the flexibility to still manage the ever changing elements, such as social media, in a way that is easy and visually cohesive with her branding.
